About

Onesie Day is Wellington Free Ambulance’s largest community fundraising event of the year! We have a Onesie Day because it’s a way to celebrate our ‘one-of-a-kindness’, and get our whole region involved in supporting their ‘one and only’ ambulance service.

Onesie Day is back in full force in 2021! We will be fundraising online, on the streets, in businesses and schools around the region making it easy for you to get involved.

This year we want to raise $250,000 to buy our very first Onesie Day branded ambulance for Greater Wellington and Wairarapa! It’s a big target, so we need everyone’s help to make it happen!

Our emergency ambulance service is there when our community needs us. From cardiac arrest to serious falls, our paramedics need to be able to respond to medical emergencies whenever we're needed, day or night.

To do this, they need to have fit-for-purpose, high quality and reliable ambulances, fully stocked with all the medical equipment they need to provide the best possible care.

Every year we need to purchase 8 new emergency ambulances at $250,000 each; we rely on the community to help us.

Its super easy! Simply CLICK HERE to sign up and follow the steps to create your dedicated profile page where you can receive donations, post updates and share your page.

If your team is for a workplace or a school, name your team and select "Yes" to "is this a team for your workplace?” If your team is for family or friends, choose no to this question.

You will need to sign up as an individual first. Next you can create or join a team from your profile page. On the left hand column of the page, scroll down to "join a team" and you can select to "create a team" or "find a team" to join.

Of course you can! But do please be advised that the money raised from the event will only be spent on an ambulance in the Greater Wellington and Wairarapa region.
