Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some answers to questions our users ask.

We’ve chosen Onesie Day as the theme for our annual appeal because it celebrates us being the one and only emergency ambulance service for Greater Wellington and Wairarapa, and the only ones in New Zealand who are FREE! Our usual Onesie Day street collection has been suspended this year to help keep everyone safe. Instead we encourage you, your whānau, your colleagues and friends to get involved! Hold virtual (or real) Onesie Days, bake sales and other fundraising activities, the options are limitless. Support Onesie Day and raise money for Wellington Free Ambulance.

We think everyone who supports us by getting involved in Onesie Day is extraordinary. You help us to pay for the ordinary things that means our paramedics are ready to respond whenever a medical emergency happens. From helping us to purchase vital medicines, through to making sure our ambulances are fuelled and ready to go, we simply couldn't do what we do without your support. To understand the difference your support makes, please READ MORE about the people that you are helping.
